Comanche of the Little Snake River
Eight year old Comanche Evans lives with her widowed mother and two sisters in 1925 Colorado Springs during the winter but in the summer she and her family go up to their family homestead to work all summer to prove up on their claim. In town they are trapped by poverty but on the ranch they have ultimate freedom. It is hard work for such a little girl but adventures are around every corner, along with a little danger. During it all, Comanche learns the importance of family, love, loyalty and having something to call your own.
